Middle Tennessee Flooding May 2010
You’ve probably noticed the severe flooding throughout many areas of middle tennessee including here in Clarksville and Montgomery County. The Clarksville Operating Radio Enthusiasts would like to remind everyone if you come across a flooded roadway “Turn around don’t drown”. Attempting to cross a flooded road is EXTREMELY dangerous and several people have already been killed during this event trying to cross flooded roads.
Here are a couple sites offering valuable information regarding this flooding event.

A final note is that the American Red Cross has made extensive use of the 146.925 repeater in coordinating shelter operations and assistance during this severe weather event. The repeater IS available for normal use during this period but as always please remember to use proper repeater etiquette, especially allowing time between transmissions to allow for break-ins and always giving priority to emergency traffic.
If you would like to assist the red cross with their efforts donations can be made online through their website at http://clarksville.redcross.org/.   If you or someone you know need assistance, the red cross can be contacted at (931) 645-6401
