Frequencies in regular C.O.R.E. Group Use
The K4ORE 146.925- repeater is temporarily off the air pending a retune. I'll post here when it comes back up with improved coverage. 73 de Howard, K2LAW
The next CORE ARES ARRL Volunteer Examiner session will be on Saturday 25 August 2007 at 9 a.m. at the Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union location at 2050 Lowe's Drive, Clarksville, TN 37040. For more information, contact Hank or Howard at (931) 237-2672. Talk-in is on the W4CHM 442.900+ repeater, 110.9 tone.
Interested in Emergency Communications? The next monthly CORE ARES Net is scheduled for 8 pm on Thursday, 2 August 2007 on 146.925 simplex or the W4CHM 442.900+ repeater, 110.9 tone. This is a change to the first Thursday of the month as opposed to the first Tuesday.

Members of the C.O.R.E. Group are often found on the air- primarily on VHF and UHF, especially on APRS these days- look for K2LAW-5 which is an RF linked home node/relay, giving mobiles fill in coverage needed in the Clarksville area, and for mobiles AA4TA-4, K2LAW-15 and KI4LEV-4. APRS is a Group favorite- even without a node you can check it out N1BQ's APRS Search Page. Just enter the callsign of the station you are looking for and it will show you the last location.
The CORE Group has two repeaters fully operational. These are open machines and are as follows- the W4CHM 442.900+ with a 110.9 tone and the K4ORE 146.925- with a 110.9 tone- CURRENTLY OFF-AIR. These machines are continually under improvement, with a relocation for better coverage of the served area in the imminent future. The additional repeaters on 440, 220 and 6m have been a victim of time constraints, but a linked system is still the ultimate goal. While we don't have a formal schedule, those of us who are stationed at Ft. Campbell are regularly on 443.000 simplex- "secret simplex". Another place to look for members is on the excellent AF4TZ 145.410- Dover machine, and on occasion, the N4CKV 224.42- machine in Cunningham.
So, if you are in town and want to join the fun, jump in when you hear us on the air. If you can't do that for legal reasons- check out the VE Team page and we'll see if we can help you with that temporary condition.
