On the Air!
Members of the C.O.R.E. Group are often found on the air- primarily on VHF and UHF, especially on APRS these days- look for K2LAW-5 which is an RF linked home node/relay, giving mobiles fill in coverage needed in the Clarksville area, the K4ORE Weather node- linked out by RF, and for mobiles AA4AE and KI4LEV-4. APRS is a Group favorite- even without a node you can check it out N1BQ’s APRS Search Page. Just enter the callsign of the station you are looking for and it will show you the last location.
The CORE Group has two repeaters. These are open machines and are as follows- the K4ORE 146.925- with a 110.9 tone- (high profile with excellent coverage down I-24 to about marker 35 out west to Murray) and the W4CHM 442.900+ with a 110.9 tone- currently down for maintenance. Another place to look for members is on the N4CKV 224.42- machine in Cunningham or the linked N4CKV 444.950+ with a 123.0 tone in NW Clarksville.

Hi,
my name is Uwe, I’m German and I live in Big Sandy, TN. Ideally would like to make my amateur radio license and no one I know can tell me where I can I contact or whom can I speak.
I have a station for 2m DX and 15.40 and 80m CW. I of course can not currently send because I have no license and no rings.

Hey guys I have school on the nights of the meetings. What are the plans for Field day this year? Shoot me a email trkr75@aol.com I would like to be there to help out. I have several antennas from a 2 meter beam on a 15 foot tower with 5ft mast. for new techs to a few G5RVs a lite and max, and a HI-Q 4/160 on a 15 foot tower with ground radials. All portable with enough notice. let me know
